GAIT REHABILITATION & RESEARCH LAB

Education & Outreach

Gait Rehabilitation Research Laboratory (GRRL) strives to bring the appeal and relevance of Movement Science & Biomechanics of Gait and Posture to the widest possible audience. We foster research and educational experiences for undergraduate and graduate students and community members, along with summer internships for area high school students. We encourage and support High school, pre-med, pre-PA and pre-PT and college students to gain research experience and make their research ideas more visible for the benefits of the society. Our outreach and education is to make research in biomechanics accessible for all audiences and to inspire, support and encourage young scientists. GRRL encourages science projects linking high school science teachers and students with Laboratory researchers in collaborative research projects.

GRRL aims to link students, teachers, and scientists in learning and teaching through scientific inquiry. We provide academic and career development opportunities to young people, teachers, and mentors. Our core belief at GRRL is that the whole world benefits from knowledge of movement science and Biomechanics. It is crucial to have an informed and engaged public and sharing scientific experiences and knowledge with peer researchers, students, teachers, and the general public will benefit and make an impact in the world. We are continuously increasing scientific literacy in field of Biomechanics, while preparing the next generation of scientists.
